For customers using storage dimension "location" and "allow blank receipt" option enabled there is a potential problem exists which leads to posting wrong inventory transaction.
When the locations in transfer order is changed to blank, same is not reflecting in inventory transaction. Inventory transaction stays with the previous value and an Info message is being displayed.
"Dimension location is still specified in the inventory transaction with value XXXX"
Shipping and receiving transfer order without noticing the notification, it ends up posting the transaction in wrong location. Inventory transactions are updating only when the value is changed to another value instead of blank.
Hence kindly request to implement either of the below option to over come this issue.
1. Change the info message to error message and disable shipping/receiving if the transfer order line location is different from transaction location.
2. Update the inventory transaction location also to blank if the transfer order line location is updated to blank value.
