Checking VAT on Invoices for either type is a bit long winded finding the Statistics element, could this just be added as a short cut version on one of the top bars.

Make the options easily available from the Posting menu on the ribbon *and* provide a keyboard shortcut. Finance users want to see the statistics before they process a posting, it's part of their validation process.
