Its not efficient to fill lead contact and account fields and discover on qualifying that this account or customer is existing. Standard OOB functionality should be that you can just choose existing account or contact first and when missing then can create new. Saves some effort and improved data quality.


Companies who do business globally have situations where account names are in different languages and can have also differences depending on translation quality, this means that working with accounts just based on name is not sufficient. Out of the box it should consider business registry or VAT numbers (depending on market) and these should be verified via some databases (VIES in EU). This helps to avoid duplicates as today we see its quite common where one customer can be in system under 2 different accounts and company names in local language and english for example.
