There are cases where customers may need to cancel their ongoing subscription partway through its term. In such scenarios, a partial credit note must be issued. For example:

A yearly subscription running from 1st January to 31st December, billed in advance, is cancelled on the 15th of June. In this case, a credit note should be issued to cover the unused period from 16th June to 31st December. The Contract Line End Date should be set accordingly.
