Deleting old recording, creating and replacing new recording to update a test case should be made more efficient by editing test cases steps directly from RSAT and then uploading changes to Devops.

This is a great ideaa, but it unfortunally not practical to implement with how RSAT has been architected. Task recordings interact with the Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations apps client directly in a way that RSAT does not have access to and cannot replicate. The plan remain that Task Recording including editing of recordings remain something that is done in Task Recorder only.
