In May 2020, Server Side Synchronization was enhanced to put a copy of an email sent from CRM into the mailboxes Sent Items folder. This is an awesome enhancement for individual Users however, it should be configurable per mailbox.

All of our Global Customer Service Representatives correspond with Customers through a queue mailbox and all other email notifications are sent through a hand full of service account mailboxes. None of these mailboxes require a copy in their Sent Items folder since CRM is effectively tracking the same thing. This is adding thousands of unnecessary emails to Exchange every day.

It would be helpful if in the CRM Mailbox configuration there was an option to opt out of this feature per mailbox. So, a sent email from that mailbox would not put a copy of the email message in the mailboxes Sent Items folder.
