All versions of AX have allowed users with delete permission to delete both posted and non-posted inventory journals. This has led to many accidental deletions of posted journals. There should be different security roles for deleting posted journals vs non-posted journals.

Unbelievable such a gaping hole in UI and security. So much reporting is done based on the Header/Journal information and to have posted information deleted is a massive lack of integrity in database. Doesn't matter that the posted lines are still there, its the journal itself that want available.

We've experienced this as well, the current option is too restrictive. We need to be able to delete unposted journals and journal lines, but not the posted journals.
