Advanced quality management features in D365 are really good and appreciated. But there is still a gap that I have seen across different companies when it comes to planning.
In regulated environments like pharma QC and QA are big part of the daily operations. For purchased raw materials goods that are received need to go through testing and inspection which has a lead time associated with it. The same applies to semi finished and finished goods where batches must go through QA/QC which also has a lead time associated with it.
So the idea is to have a way to define lead time for each quality association so that planning optimization can consider this and include the quality order lead time together with the other lead times into the planned orders
