Ability to allow Web Client users not able to post if Account Security is turned on. The user receives the error “Access denied/Account Missing”

When trying to post journal entries from the Web Client it fails and the batch goes to recovery. They can process it out of recovery and post it from a desktop client with no problems.

This happens because account security is turned on

You either need to turn this off or post in rich client.

I still can't believe that this has a status as 'New' when it has been reported and know for a while..
Not be cynical, but somehow Microsoft doesn't seem to really want to fix all the issues around the GP Web Client.. Ever since it moved from the Silverlight client to the HTML5 protocol I can find any good reasons to use it or recommend it to anyone.. Except maybe for Time & Expense entries to replace the Business portal.. and even then it's a step back compared to BP.

This issue prevents anyone using Account Level Security from rolling out web client to transactional users of any kind really because data entry with distributions can't occur (no access to accounts) and posting can't happen (the original text of your suggestion).

This also causes the GL Trial Balance Reports to print without data in Web Client.
