When Using AD integration to create and manage security, new users are created with an ID similar to "$xxxx" eg "$A124". That in itself is fine, but when business users interrogate eg. the ledger transactions, the createdBy field offer little value. In order to mitigate this inconvenience, implementing a hover over pop up, could be useful, if not a full one look up against the employee attached to the user.
