When you have a physcial inventory journal and made the counting I have discovered a problem with lot no handling.

If the qty of a item no hasn't changed on the line, but the lot.no. within the item has changed.

For exampel:

Total qty of an item is 40 but Lot no 1 +25 and Lot No 2 -25. Then there are no change on the physical inventory journal line but a change in the item tracking. The result of this is that there will no be a posting if you post the line.

A workaround according to Microsoft support is to work with item reclass journal. In theory this works but not in real life with thousands of items and lot.no.

I would like to suggest a change so the journal kan post changes even if there are changes just within lot numbers or serial numbers.
