Currently when using the VAT posting date functionality, there is validation to the posting date setup when potentially backdating VAT entries. This makes it impossible to backdate VAT entries without opening prior posting periods.

This is the same issue as was experienced with deferral postings needing posting date ranges open into future periods and was solved by adding Deferral From/To dates in the general ledger setup.

Please add this as I am facing a lot of complaints from customers over this.
