Release products specifically consumed for cleaning

In the process manufacturing industry, material is consumed specifically for cleaning the production components. Could a 'Production type' of "Consumption" be added to a Released product that only allows that item to be consumed from inventory without requiring an output quantity? It would be nice to create an item for cleaning and schedule that as a batch order along with our finished good batch orders.
