In the Portal solution, we enabled Notes for an entity so portal users can communicate with D365 users and upload attachments to D365.
When a user use "Add note" from the portal website, he/she can select multiple files from the local machine planning to upload to a note. After the user making the file selection, that pop-up window indicates all files are selected. But eventually, only one file is uploaded successfully to the note record.
This sounds a system limitation after discussing with D365 support team but the wording and the behaviour are quite misleading. Can you please restrict the user to only select one file from the local machine?
