Due to [Deprecation of Dynamics 365 Home], clear guidance has not been notified to the administrator, causing confusion for users.
In the future, features that will be deprecated or changed on the UI should be clearly notified to the administrator.
Without notification, the administrator will not check the MS docs.

I'm curious if admins are familiar with the postings we do on Message Center to communicate this kind of change?

The communication of service changes are delivered to customers through a combination of the Microsoft 365 Admin center Message Center, and through the twice-yearly Release Plans which should be describing the UI-focused changes.
