Thanks for your feedback! Since 2021 release wave 2 it is now possible to control the priority on the sales order lines and the system will suggest supply that matches the priority you defined for each of the sales order lines.
You must assign "Priority" coverage code to those products which you would like to be supplied according to its demand priority. More information on it can be found in the Microsoft docs page: Priority-based planning - Supply Chain Management | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Docs
