In current version of Export Management App, if user wants to add restriction/exception for 100 countries, they will have to add each country code individually in the Restrictions/Exceptions setup. As restrictions apply at Jurisdiction and ECCN code / category level, user have to add multiple restrictions and exceptions for multiple jurisdictions which is very time consuming and maintenance overhead. With current political climate, export rules and restrictions are changing more frequently which means continuous updates to restrictions/exceptions in Export management app are required.

My idea is to have functionality to add Country groups within Export Management App which allows users to create custom country groups and add countries to the group. Like VHR - Very High Risk Countries and add any number of countries to this group. Then user should be able to user these country groups in Restrictions/Exceptions and Licences form within Export Management app. Therefore, user can add apply restrictions to multiple countries by simply selecting Country Group in respective form. In future, if classification of the country changes from High Risk to Very High risk, user can simply change the country group setup without needing to change ALL restrictions, Exceptions and Licenses.
