As per material planning standard scenario for make to order (MTO) scenario, during MRP planning system to check w.r.t total demand, inventory & open PO's and create the further PO's based on these criteria.

But presently system is not considering open PO for MRP planning. which shall lead to discrepancy in planning as demand of forecast or order from customer may vary or get cancelled, so system has to check accordingly and provide further requirements.

These are standard feature in other ERP systems.

Also generally in other ERP there is a process called Purchase request in between demand & PO, which play a critical role is material planning, presently in MSD this process is missing.
