If you have a N:N relationship and try to associate two or more records at a time, there is an error thrown (below) but the association still takes place.

In this example I created a custom entity new_test with a N:N relationship to Marketing Lists. Trying to associate 2 or 3 marketing lists to my custom entity threw the error:
"Duplicate Record - A record with these values already exists. A duplicate record cannot be created. Select one or more unique values and try again."

The log file shows:
Unhandled Exception: System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[[Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault, Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk, Version=6.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35]]: Cannot insert duplicate key.Detail:

-2147220937

Cannot insert duplicate key.

Larry, I know this is a bug. That is why I reported it in the title as "MVP Bug". Please talk to Shilpa Sinha on the CRM product team. This is the process that MVPs have been given to report bugs.
