As per design, Microsoft (MS) Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365FO) will not provide any response when API request get throttled type "Execution time", but only when API service request get throttled type "Number of requests".

To better manage exception handling from third-party apps when submitting API requests to D365FO, it is suggested to implement necessary changes so when API protection limit "Execution time" is hit.
