Currently, Business Central does not provide a direct way to duplicate an item via the right-click context menu. Instead, users must manually duplicate items through the item list or detail view. To improve usability and streamline the process, a new function should be implemented that allows users to duplicate items directly from the context menu.
Requirement:
- Add a new "Duplicate" option to the right-click context menu in the item list.
- The action creates a copy of the selected item, including key master data.
- Users should have the ability to modify relevant fields (e.g., item number, description) before saving.
Benefits:
- Faster and more intuitive item creation.
- Reduction of manual steps and potential errors.
- Increased efficiency for users who frequently create similar items.
