Currently item requirement calculations are affected by all stock movement journals, regardless of the status of the journal.

This means journals in draft, in review or even rejected (!) status is driving demand through MRP. This is wrong, only posted journals should be included in net item requirement calculations as only posted journals have gone through the necessary approvals.

It is not just a risk of over ordering - a user here created a draft stock movement with a positive inventory quantity. The fact that this draft journal was included in net item requirements meant MRP did not raise necessary planned purchase orders and we suffered a material shortage as a consequence.
