Current standard functionality of the "bundle" product fails if the bundle is used within an intercompany or direct delivery scenario. The bundle relationship is lost - the system assumes the bundle components are being procured, and that the bundle parent does not exist in the transaction.

In the manufacturing industry, within intercompany and direct delivery flows, the bundle relationship needs to be maintained because pricing resides at the bundle parent level. It does not make sense, in a business context, to procure components at a component price; when in a direct delivery or intercompany context what is actually procured is the bundle at the bundle price.
