Absolutely needed. One possible solution would be to include a field similar to the field "Quantity available to release" in the form "Release sales orders to warehouse".
I had a similar feedback from end-customer. I don't see why this control exists.Note: The whole prepayment process is not good at all and must be reviewed/simplied!
