We ran into a similar issue. We ran the update on one specific PO, and it removed records for many other workflow records on the VendInvoiceInfoTable. This caused a lot of workflow approvals to become inaccessible and thus a high audit risk. We highly recommend a warning message or functionality update, so this unintended consequence does not happen to others in the future.
Dear Microsoft Admins,I can only underline the importance of this feature, at least for any GDPR-compliant company in Europe. Just as an example ... as long as this feature is not available, we are not able to use Microsoft Dynamics Event Planning at all - even though it has other charming features.Since the event registration forms do not allow DOI, we feel compelled to look for a professional event management tool that offers GDPR-compliant processes in a user-friendly way.The proposed workaround mith a mutlistep approach is far from customer-oriented - we would lose registrants on the way and - even more - would harm our reputation as a solution driven service provider.I would love to hear Microsoft taking GDPR requirements of European companies serious and taking this request on the Roadmap sooner than later.
I would prioritize this request as we have a similiar request:Our compliance officer has confirmed that a Double Opt-In (DOI) is only required when a customer voluntarily subscribes to a newsletter or explicitly selects a commercial communication purpose. It is essential for marketing and sales that this voluntary subscription option is available in all marketing forms. However, a DOI should be triggered strictly only in these cases.Applying DOI requirements to operational requests (e.g., daily offer or inquiry forms) is neither legally required nor practical, as it introduces unnecessary delays in the business process and may block legitimate customer interactions / revenue-relevant leads.
