      Embed PowerApp into POS

Suggested by Tom LorasoUnder Review 0
      Category: Extensibility/SDK

The ability to embed a powerapp into CPOS/MPOS was shown in the D365 Retail Spring release video by one of the product developeres (I can no longer find this video)

This functionality has been released into F&O with the ability to add powerapp access. In the video, the Microsoft demonstration showed a powerapp icon at the bottom of the POS layout, which then opened up into a Case Management PowerApp screen.

Could you please advise if this is already available, and if not if it is being released soon as I have not seen any documentation on this. If neither of the above then I would like to submit this as an idea

Change or remove standard pop out dialogs

Suggested by Tim EklundUnder Review 0
      Category: Extensibility/SDK

A wish we have received is to change or remove dialogs in different scenarios. For example the ship order flow the customer does not want the sales clerk to add any charge but rather an automated logic. Also they don't wish to show the date dialog that comes after. But we need logic that sets the date and charge in these cases automatically. So an option through extensions to auto solve or create or own versions of standard pop out dialogs.

In the transaction flow the customer does not wish to show the Change dialog at all (Remove that extra ok). Instead they wish the change to be shown in a box in the transactions view as a reference in the few cases change is to be returned. (To show last receipts change in the transactions view can be done today through custom controls).

Allow Hiding of non-required fields on Views

Suggested by Peter RamerUnder Review 2
      Category: Extensibility/SDK

Either through code or through some setup, it would be great to be able to hide non-required fields on forms. For instance, on the 'new customer' form, there are several fields that are not required. For the sake of speed of entry and viewable screen space, we have customers who would like to hide non-essential fields. They would also like to decrease the padding around controls to make it so more fields fit on the screen.

Add Tabs or new areas to existing standard views

Suggested by Tim EklundUnder Review 0
      Category: Extensibility/SDK

We have one customer who have asked to be able to see already returned transaction rows in the SearchReceiptsView.html
They wished the returned rows to be shown below in a separate area (lower 50% of the screen) or viewable through a tab.
So what I wish for is extension points that allows us to set a % of a given view to add customized content.

We have also heard wishes where the sales persons wishes to see delivery status on orders. This could be done by allowing extensions to add a new area bellow orders in recall order view. This area would then contain order rows and their individual status.

Set default values of fields in Views

Suggested by Peter RamerUnder Review 0
      Category: Extensibility/SDK

Right now there is not a way that values can be set with default values on an MPOS form. For instance, the first name, last name, and customer group are required fields on the 'new customer' form. It would be great if there was a way to set these values to a 'default' value through code, so that the customer creation process could be done faster. Right now we do not have access to setting the values on these controls.

Print custom message directly in MPOS without using custom receipt type

Suggested by Peter RamerUnder Review 0
      Category: Extensibility/SDK

Right now if I want to print a custom message to the receipt print such as 'Hello World from %1', I need to add code to the MPOS to print a custom receipt such as 'CustomReceiptType1'. Then I need to setup a receipt format in DAX, and add a 'custom field', and add the field to the designer. Finally I also need to write CRT code to create a handler for 'GetSalesTransactionCustomReceiptFieldServiceRequest'. So that I can look for the custom field, and set its value to be a value that I have passed in from the MPOS.
It would be great if there was an API that would allow you to print to the receipt printer 'some text' that is passed in as a parameter.

Call Declare Start Amount form through code

Suggested by Peter RamerUnder Review 1
      Category: Extensibility/SDK

Currently the API DeclareStartingAmountClientRequest will try to post a 'declare start amount' behind the scenes. It will not show the form/UI and let the user enter in the amount. Please provide an API that can be called that will show the form.

      Manager privilege extension

It will be a great idea to provide an extension in POS SDK for Manager privilege which can be invoked from code in case of business requirement.
