We recently had a developer create a model driven app that will be used as a ticket management system. There are two distinct applications, a customer facing app and an app for admins to work tickets. During the pilot of the program, we discovered that Dataverse can only use First Name and not the Display Name from Microsoft Entra. This is problematic because it will create a poor customer experience. If a user took the time to provide a preferred name, we should be able to use that in our application. The tool that the developer built is replacing a Canvas application that doesn't have this limitation.

The change we would like to see is the ability to use Display Name within a Model Driven app, instead of First Name. This would provide a much better user experience. The lack of ability to pull Display Name may prevent us from moving forward with this initiative that we have spent 8 months building a solution for.
