Since legacy authentication (Username + Password) is sunsetting and Microsoft Partners requires all user accounts to use MFA (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/partner-center/partner-security-compliance#multi-factor-authentication-mfa-report), it would be nice if Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement integration in Business Central would support OAuth authentication.

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We have decided to deliver this idea and make it available with Business Central 2020 release wave 1 (June Update 16.2 - see https://aka.ms/bclastminorupdate).

Connect Business Central, Common Data Service, and another business application securely with modern authentication using only an administrator account. You do not have to set up a dedicated integration user anymore.

The new modern authentication will automatically create non-interactive integration user whose credentials will be used to synchronize data between Business Central and Common Data Service (and Dynamics 365 Sales).

Learn more about connecting Common Data Service and Dynamics 365 Sales using OAuth here: https://docs.microsoft.com/dynamics365/business-central/admin-common-data-service
