I have a need to access a ready-only copy of the AX business database that is sync'd in real time. We can then sync this database to our own azure sql database for reporting purposes.

There is a huge need for this feature as is allows to migrate Datawarehouses from AX2012 and AX2009. It is lot of work to use the BYODB Option (You need to create DataEntities, you need to setup multiple export jobs for same Data but for each Company). Comon Data Service doesn't look easier. It allows to use SQL, that mainly Business Intelligence Developers are used. It uses the Power of SQL Server. It is fast and easy. Easy access to the AX Tables have been one big PLUS difference to other ERP Systems.

This definitely is a enormous pain point you would solve for us - the BYOD replication story right now is not reliable enough and streamlined enough for our needs and we have several external systems that need read-only access to transactional data. So not having to run them through DIXF to get them out of the system just to query them would be really a big help for the project.

This is crucial for large enterprise scenarios with challenging integration requirements. BYODB and data entities just for providing data what is already there is costly in terms of effort, maintenance and operation and is not state of the art of today's data analyzation requirements!
Please make this possible as soon as possible!

We are looking into adding more data into Azure Data Lake including the option to add Entities and key tables.
