This scenario highlights a feature gap in AX7.x.

In AX2012, we had a Confirmation of receipt feature available through the Employee Self-Service portal.

This enabled employees with (the equivalent of) Team Member license to confirm the receipt of ordered items.

However, this functionality is not yet available on AX7.x.

Hence the only option is to do a full product receipt, which is not possible with only a Team Member license.

Needed for users that only use d365 to create PR's and confirm receipts.

They need a simplified way to monitor incoming deliveries where they are the requester (usually originated from a PR) and confirm or reject the received quantity

This could be easily solved with a standard d365 dashboard.

This is a very common request on projects and it's difficult to explain to customers upgrading from AX2012 why this feature is no longer available.

Hi. We are a customer who is impacted by this. The person who raises a PR should be able to receive and approve the invoice (or trigger a workflow if there is a variance outside a certain tolerance) with the same license.

This is creating issues with a current client as they have approximately 130 people doing this thus the impact is over $100K per year in licensing.

Couldn't agree more, please bring this functionality back to D365FO

This is a common ask from customers since the TM license permits users to do a PO req e.g. order a new pc. However they cannot confirm receipt of the product when it arrives. Can this functionality be added so that the PO req process can be completed accurately.
