Scenario: we are planing service jobs in a heavy industry solution for multiple days! As soon as we choose the day view. This view shows on each resource / day cell an aggregation of the numbers of booked hours. We don't need to see the hours, we need to see the Service Job name! Like it is in the hours view. Using in the hours view does not work, because it is limited to 7 days! Please make it possible to deactivate the aggegration and adjust/customize the tile in the day view like it is already in the hours view

Update 2/4/2021.

On the new Schedule Board, you would be able to see the Booked hours aggregation and the Name of the job on the Bookings itself. However, the ability to show a custom field on the Bookings in the Days view, is still something on our roadmap, not yet available in the schedule board.

Thanks,

Vinay

Update 04/07/2020.

Thanks for all the feedback and votes on this idea! A Quick update on this idea, is that as part of the Next generation Schedule Board experience, we are working on the Days view improvements and bringing the Hourly style of Scheduling to Days view and is planned for October 2020 release.

Thanks,

Vinay Nalam,

PM, Microsoft.

Users are definitely missing this features. Services typically take weeks and months in our case and the planners never use the daily view.
It is actually disappointing this is not fixed in version 8

Correct, I fully support this idea. We are planning the technicians for several days up to two years and there we need to see more details than only the duration and WO number.

We definitely need this capability. We are currently evaluating other resource planning tools because Dynamics does not meet our needs regarding mult-day/mult-week field service jobs.

Absolute essential for FS to make sense for organizations planning longer services!

My organization is also looking for this functionality. We need to be able to customize the days shown in the blocks for multi-day bookings as well as multi-week bookings. Such a simple request; it is a shame Microsoft cannot listen more to their customers. Been asking for this for two years now.

Absolutely a MUST. Our organization is considering dropping the product because of this. MAJOR issue that should have been thought of long ago.

Hey, Yes fully agree, we are moving from CRM 4.0 where this was possible but we found it lacking that we could only view max 42 days in the view, we ended up building this in excel and doing a dynamic extract from CRM to get this view extended to 400+ days, a bit excessive but better then 42. Now we are moving into D365 and I see the view is limited to 14days, this for me then dont feel like a multi generation jump up but a step backwards.

Also fully agree with the request. Most of my customers want to use the schedule board in the day, weeks or months view. But they are forced to switch between the different views to get the required information. To have the same possibilities of the hours view in all other views would be a game changer.

I fully agree with the suggestion above, we are also scheduling Field Service Technicians for work in the heavy industry sector, and the Hours view is just not an optimal view. In many cases we dispatch a technician to a customer for days or even weeks on one activity. The Aggregated view does not add any value in this situation, and I support that we would be able to deactivate this aggregation view for Days and weeks.

You also find a lot of user discussing this in MS forums, all sucks that it is not possible on the day view:
