When working with activities e.g., tasks then its important to define either default reminder terms or have different reminder types. Also important - when deadline or reminder is defined then it would be good to have it more visual, easier to capture faster e.g. displaying remaining days till reminder or deadline, even better if can assign color levels e.g. if 5 days till deadline then there is yellow marker, red if overdue, green if new.
