This is exactly what my organisation is looking for! I work for Blind & Low Vision NZ and one of the key things we need for our blind and vision impaired staff is to make Business Central more accessible.
We've collected feedback from our 80+ users and they've all said one of the biggest frustrations about moving to Business Central is that they don't know when their purchase order has been approved, unless they go into the system and look for it. For a lot of our users, this is all they do - they raise purchase orders and then submit them for approval and once approved, they'll update update information when the invoice comes in and receive the goods/services so that the finance team can process (post) the invoice and arrange for it to be paid.
For our users in particular, it would be great to receive email notification. Many of them are surprised that this is not a standard feature.
This very thing was a customization in my clients' R3 environment and it's looking like it will be another customization in F&O. That said, I would say almost every client I've had using the WMS (the real one) has had this requirement, but just deal with the pain of performing the manual updates rather than enhance the system. I'm glad to see this is planned for future release!
