I want to share the workaround we have been using for described requirement: preprinted license plates for each container type. LPs are activated during picking as target license plates, so the picker chooses right label to use.
If license plates are created to D365 SCM beforehand with Data management, they can also contain container type. Then we don’t have to rely on the prefix for the preprinted license plate (e.g. EUR#########).
However, selecting the container type during picking for the auto generated target license plate would be the best solution in most cases.
This has been implemented (“Work pick line overview” feature).
Warehouse management app also supports searching of lines now. Version 2.0.34.0 (Added a search function to the Work List page. Workers can now scan or type to search in all the fields and titles on the page).
So we don't need votes anymore :) Some higher vote did the trick? ;)

We use Short pick process with a Work exception that has no adjustments. Item reallocation is “Manual”, so the picker sees a list of locations with on-hand info where to pick the remaining quantity. D365 cancels remaining pick/put lines and creates new ones. All stay under one target license plate.
The amount of the eco participation varies depending on the product and the type of treatment it requires. In France, it is added to the item's sales price including VAT. VAT is then applied to the amount of the eco participation as it is considered as a service. However, the eco participation must be excluded from the calculation of any discount given to the customer.
