Thanks for your idea. As classic built-in planning is deprecated we will not invest in it providing more CTP options, as your idea is suggesting.

With Planning Optimization, we have CTP capabilities that will always give you the accurate result, taking into account the delivery dates of all planned orders. You can find more information about it here: Calculate sales order delivery dates using CTP - Supply Chain Management | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn

There is a related idea, that is to expand the CTP on planning optimization to be instant, if desired, you can vote on it here: Microsoft Idea (dynamics.com)

Net requirement form - show inventory unit in grid

In the grids in net requirement form it would be useful to see the requirement unit. Since the form is frequented by users with different roles they would like a reminder of which unit the required quantity is listed in. Purchasing unit and sales unit may differ from the inventory unit so they wi...

Do not lock item on InventTable when running production order scheduling

Items gets locked on InventTable during production order scheduling (production order created from the item). Items can have changes all the time (e.g. their BOM or route), and their changes do not impact to those production orders that were created before the change. Therefore, locking does no...

Calendars per site

It would be good if we could create separate calendars per site - currently this possibility does not exist, but in reality the opening/closing days for deliveries to a customer for example might be different per site, same as vendor calendar which might have different closing days per site.

Add parameter to skip firming when no reservation can be made

It would be great to have a parameter that will not firm lines when no reservation can be made. This will better integrate MRP with WMS, and is especially important on customers with large item catalogs that rely on autofirming.
