Support Minimum/maximum keys with Planning Optimization
Minimum/maximum keys are no more supported in Planning Optimization according to the documentation.
It's a shame. Could you advice how can we plan an increase/decrease of the safety stock easily now? Do you plan to retrofit this feature in Planning Optimization?
Support for lean manufacturing in Planning Optimization
Currently Planning Optimization does not support items that have planned order type of "kanban" which is used in the Lean manufacturing functionality. Any users who have this requirement are blocked from adopting Planning Optimization
We are planning on supporting Lean Manufacturing on Planning Optimization during year 2024.
If you are a new customer going live on Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management and lean manufacturing is the manufacturing that would best fit your business, you can implement it in dynamics and go-live using the classic/deprecated built-in master planning. Once lean manufacturing is supported on Planning Optimization, then you can move to it.
Please remember Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management is to support your business processes, choose the manufacturing that would best fit it.
