Schedule Board - Optimize Day View
Scenario: we are planing service jobs in a heavy industry solution for multiple days! As soon as we choose the day view. This view shows on each resource / day cell an aggregation of the numbers of booked hours. We don't need to see the hours, we need to see the Service Job name! Like it is in...
Same dispaly of schedule board booking tooltips view for hourly, daily, monthly view
Booking Tooltips view is differently displayed (hover by mouse over reservation) within the schedule board hourly view setting vs daily and weekly views setting. The Idea is to allow to set up the same booking tooltips for hourly, daily, weekly scheduling calendar view.
The booking tooltip in the new schedule board has been updated to be the same display for all calendar views hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly. Additionally, when you customize the booking tooltip it will change across all calendar views.
Thanks for the feedback!
Booking Template Extensibility available for Multi-Day views, not just hourly board
Currently you can only extend the booking templates for the Hourly Schedule Board. Any updates to Booking Templates that you want to see on DAY, WEEK, MONTH will not show as it's not available. Recommendation is to make that extensible throughout the product. EXAMPLE: I have the following Book...
Hi Scott,
We have updated the new schedule board booking tooltip to be the same across all views. If you customize the booking tooltip, the customization will be applied to all calendar views.

Calculate travel time when using drag&drop on the schedule board
When a resource requirement is scheduled using the Schedule Assistant, the travel time is correctly calculated. However when using drag&drop, the booking gets created w/o any travel times. This inconsistent behavior often confuses user.
Suggestion: Unify the behavior (...
Update 03/31/20
We released "Auto Update Booking Travel" feature in April 2019, to support the Calculation of travel time when booking is created by Drag and Drop on the Schedule Board. Please find more details here, https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/common-scheduler/schedule-travel-time#add-travel-time-with-manual-scheduling
We intend on shipping this short term. There are many details to work out such as, what happens when travel is 30 hours, or impossible, such as traveling across the globe. But we intend on handling the primary use cases short term.
Multi-select on Schedule board
On the Schedule board I would like to select and drag and drop more than one requirement at the same time.
Thank you for your feedback on how we can improve the scheduling experience.
In 2022 Wave 2, we have added the functionality to select multiple bookings and edit to our new schedule board.
We look forward to you trying this out and sending feedback.
Thanks again,
Deana Fuller
Add Est. Arrival Time to Schedule Assistant
When using the Field Service Schedule Assistant (with travel times), the filter options only let you set a filter for the Start Time and End Time. However, with travel times enabled, the Start Time is when the resource begins travelling (not the start time of the...
Thank you for your feedback. Currently this is not in our roadmap; however, we are tracking it and if we get more feedback and votes, we may consider it in the future.

Allow resources to travel before work hours start or after they end
Especially in urban areas, there is often the requirement to start the first job with the beginning of the work hours. The resource is responsible for traveling there outside working hours. The same at the end of the day. We could define this at resource level, so that the first job of the day...
This feature is now available in 2020 Wave 2 Early access for RSO.

Organize Schedule Board tabs
When users/administrators handle a significant number of schedule boards (this gets even worse when using RSO, because that adds boards per RSO scope) they are faced with a long row of tabs and need to scroll left and right to find the respective board. Suggestion: Introduce a 2-level hierachy...
Thank you for your feedback. Just a quick update on this ask, we completed this feature as part of the next gen schedule board experience in April 2020 rekease.

Field Service : apply a work hour Template to several resources
The functionality exists in PSA. It would be nice to have it in Field Service.
Thank you for your feedback. This is already released in the URS area, with a limit of 25 resources at a time.

Option to have Schedule Assistant round to nearest half-hour or hour
The Est. Arrival Time is the time that is most important to a customer, as that signifies the start time of their appointment.
When entering a Start Time on the Field Service Schedule Assistant with travel time enabled, the Start Time represents when the resource begins travelling to th...
This feature was release as part of the 8.2 Field Service Release! Here is a link is the documentation. Thank you for the suggestion!!!

Update 2/4/2021.
On the new Schedule Board, you would be able to see the Booked hours aggregation and the Name of the job on the Bookings itself. However, the ability to show a custom field on the Bookings in the Days view, is still something on our roadmap, not yet available in the schedule board.
Thanks,
Vinay
