Indeed, the customer commits to a total amount upon order creation and generally expects that the net amount including prices and discounts will not be automatically recalculated over time or during order editing. Commerce pricing engine has a built-in "price lock" feature to protect the committed pricing. Thank you for this great feature suggestion! Ability to set up prices and discounts based on custom product attributes (such as "brand") indeed serves more flexible pricing strategy. We are going to release a Pricing management module, built on enhanced pricing engine, that works for both SCM and Commerce. This module will support attribute-based pricing. Pricing managers will be able to use product, customer, channel and/or order attribute to define various pricing rules (trade agreements, price adjustments, discounts, auto-charges, rebates) in order to drive more sophisticated pricing strategies. The requirement 1 below is already released as a part of 10.0.16, while the requirement 2 is planned for 10.0.19.
Requirement 1: Buy for X SEK from category Fashion and get item Y for free.
As a part of 10.0.16, now the "Line spec" option of the Mix and match discount has an option to choose a discount amount.
Requirement 2: Buy for X SEK from mens Shirts and get 50% off on one pair of Socks.
As a part of 10.0.19, the threshold discount will allow the users to choose the items which whould be given for a discount if the threshold is met.

Quantity discounts with discount amounts
Currently it's only possible to setup a quantity discount as either percentage or unit price. It would be really good if there would be an additional option 'Discount amount' - esp. since this option does already exist in other discount methods.

Discount can be apply in Unit price rather than line
Presently, In Pos Discount amount is applied on final price i.e., (Qty * unit price= Final price), the Discount amount can be given to each Quantity in the Line Item i.e.,(unit price -discount= final price *qty).
Thanks for your feedback. This feature ask is essentially about rounding behavior in pricing calculation. Commerce pricing engine today applies rounding to the net amount of a sales line, some customers want the rounding occurs at unit price level. We are going to release a Pricing management module, built on enhanced pricing engine, that works for both SCM and Commerce. In this module, a parameter will be offered for pricing managers to choose desired rounding logic that best suits their business needs.
