Thanks for your feedback! We have considered your suggestion and the product name will be added to where-used page. This will be released in the 10.0.21 release.
Description has not been added as it is a longer field and would take much space on the screen. You can add the description to the table with "Insert fields" as the datasource has now been added.

Record templates for [Released Products] are not working correctly

Product Variant to have "On hold" option
Just like Released item can be put on hold to stop it from being used in transactions when the Item becomes obsolete, similarly, product variant must also have the option to put on hold. The ability to put a variant on-hold has been available since release 1611 of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
To stop a product variant use the following steps:
1. Go to product information management > Products > Release product and select the product master desired
2. Click on Default order settings, under the tab Plan
3. Click New
4. Select the Rank desired for this line. Note that the higher the rank, the more important the rule is, meaning it will have a higher priority, To ensure that it is used over other ranks (the product is stopped), include a higher rank than the rest of the rules.
5. Select the site if the product needs to be stopped for only a specific site
6. Select the product dimensions that need to be stopped
7. For Purchase order, Inventory and/or Sales order tabs, select Override default settings and click on the option Stopped.

Enable OData for Configurations entity
Data entity EcoResProductConfigurationEntity (Configurations) doesn't enabled as public entity. So it's not possible to have access to the Configurations through Excel add-on and OData Web API calls. Other similar entities, like Sizes, Colors, Styles are already public.

Change of item number
We should be able to change the item number. This is normal business requirement and users are use to of this feature and in the production implementation this requirement is basic requirement. In my current project its very important business requirement cus of the intercompany transactions.

Validation of Categorie names placed on Hierarchy

Item template does not update transportation management parameter
Users are using item template for creating new items. The template does not update the "Use transportation management processes" tick box from the reference item. Customer users have to manually set this parameter on item master. Item template should consider all fields on item master.
