I would love to have the option to change the owner on the sequence activities instead of assigning it to the Lead or Opportunity owner. Often these activities may require other sales team members to perform the phone call, email or task.

Would it be possible for the sequence to be from the user.So use case: a User adds a lead to a sequence, the sequence would carry out as though this user had performed those actions.

We are finding that we need this as well; at minimum, I like Gus's idea of sending it from the owner of the sequence or the owner of the record.We're doing a campaign that starts with a physical mailer, done by someone other than the person who will do follow-up phone calls and includes emails that we want from our CEO, who's definitely not the person making any calls.

This is much needed. When you have sales team members operating to support one and other you need to have the flexibility to have emails come from someone other than the owner of the record. Ideally you would be able to pick a sender User for each 'Send an Email' or 'Send an Automated Email', or designate a field that contains the name of the user that should be the sender.

As a part of the below release item users will be able to assign a sequence as required.
